We're a small team of 3 people, with a wide network of experts that are engaged on a as needed basis, generating $1MM / year in revenue, and have a reputation as one of the best crisis management firms in the USA.

About the Work

We're preparing to go to market with a brand new crisis readiness assessment tool, priced at $10K, that acts as more of a tech-supported packaged product than a consultative service. We're looking for a Fractional Director of Sales to help us bring this new product to market, particularly within the financial services sector.

Specifically, you'll:

  • Develop the sales strategy for our new product
  • Identify and qualify leads - we're targeting Communications leaders at regional banks, credit unions, insurance firms, and similar businesses
  • Run experiments on different channels to identify what brings in leads for us
  • Develop sales materials and refine our messaging
  • Execute all sales work as a team of one, including:
    • Outreach
    • Lead qualification
    • Relationship building
    • Deal closing

We're expecting this role to require about 5 - 10 hrs / week of work, and we're thinking of a base + commission structure with a target total compensation of $5K - $10K / month.

About You

You MUST have:

  • Significant experience selling into EITHER or BOTH:
    • Financial services institutions (e.g. regional banks, credit unions, insurance cos)
    • Communications department leaders
  • The ability to set up the right sales strategy and do the execution work on your own
    • If your primary focus is sales coaching, or hiring salespeople to do execution work, we won't be the right fit for you
  • Based in the USA or Canada

Nice-to-haves:

  • A background in politics
  • Experience selling into higher education institutions
