Build the Sales Engine. Coach the Team. Help Define the Standard.
Remote | U.S. Market | 10–20 Hours/Week | Initial 90-Day Engagement
Signal Playbook AI is looking for an accomplished B2B SaaS sales leader to coach and lead our SDR team as we build a repeatable U.S. sales engine.
This is not a traditional SDR manager position. We are looking for someone who has already learned the hard lessons of sales leadership—and can bring that experience to a small team without needing another 50-hour-a-week executive job.
You may be a former VP of Sales, Head of Sales Development, Director of Sales, SDR/BDR Manager, or SaaS sales executive who now prefers a high-impact fractional role. Experienced and result focused semi-retired executives are especially welcome.
The Opportunity
Signal Playbook AI is introducing a new category of business software: the Performance Visibility System.
Organizations have plenty of systems for tracking time, tasks, projects, payroll, and employee activity. We are focused on a different management question: What results did our people actually deliver—and where did those results impact the organization?
We have the product. We have the SDR team. We have the sales technology. Now we want an experienced sales leader who can help us turn those resources into a disciplined, measurable, and repeatable sales operation.
Your Mission
You will lead and coach the SDRs selling into the U.S. market. Your job is not to generate impressive activity numbers. Your job is to help the team become better at turning:
Prospects → Conversations → Qualified Opportunities → Demos → Customers → Recurring Revenue
During the first 60 days, we also want you to help us learn from the market. Rather than forcing arbitrary quotas onto a new sales operation, we are collecting actual conversion data and using that evidence to establish fair, demanding, and achievable KPIs. You will have a meaningful voice in building those standards.
What You'll Own
- Lead a focused 30-minute daily SDR stand-up.
- Coach each SDR individually.
- Review pipeline, opportunities, follow-ups, and next actions.
- Review selected calls and outbound messaging.
- Improve prospecting, qualification, objection handling, and demo execution.
- Identify exactly where prospects are dropping out of the funnel.
- Strengthen CRM discipline and forecasting.
- Help the team use HubSpot, Apollo, and LinkedIn Sales Navigator effectively.
- Recommend changes based on evidence—not intuition alone.
- Provide leadership with a concise weekly view of results, conversion rates, problems, and corrective actions.
- Help establish the team's evidence-based KPI framework after sufficient operating data has been collected.
Who Will Thrive Here
We care much more about what you have built and whom you have developed than about titles.
You are likely a strong fit if you have successfully managed B2B SDR/BDR teams and can demonstrate that you have improved pipeline creation, conversion, sales discipline, or rep performance.
You understand modern SaaS outbound selling. You can look at a sales funnel and quickly distinguish between a people problem, targeting problem, messaging problem, process problem, data problem, or product-market problem.
Most importantly, you know how to hold salespeople accountable without creating a culture where people simply manufacture activity to satisfy management. We want a coach, operator, and sales leader—not a call counter.
Why This Role May Be Different
You won't be joining a large company to inherit somebody else's mature sales machine. You will help shape one.
You will work directly with company leadership, have significant influence over how the SDR operation develops, and help establish the operating standards that can support the company's next stage of growth.
For an experienced executive who still enjoys coaching people, solving sales problems, and building systems-but doesn't want another full-time corporate role—this could be an unusually good fit.
Engagement
Part-time: 10–20 hours per week | Location: Remote | Market: United States | Initial term: 90 days, with opportunity to continue as the organization grows.
We are looking for the right person, not simply the lowest-cost person.
About Signal Playbook AI
Signal Playbook AI is built around a straightforward management principle: Results matter more than the appearance of work.
Our Performance Visibility System helps organizations make employee and organizational results more visible-so leaders can see what was delivered, where it created impact, what is falling behind, and where management attention is required.
Less noise. Better visibility. Stronger execution. Measurable results.
