Program Manager

NuVee builds Koa, a patient-facing AI supporting people receiving obesity and GLP-1 care between visits. Koa supports patients alongside their clinicians and does not replace clinical care.

We’re seeking a fractional program manager to help our team test thoroughly, stay aligned, and move work through to completion. This hands-on role combines product testing, issue follow-through, and coordination across engineering and clinical leadership.

What you’ll do

• Test patient-facing workflows using agreed scenarios and document results clearly.
• Turn findings into actionable issues with reproduction steps, expected behavior, and supporting evidence.
• Coordinate across engineering to clarify ownership, track dependencies, surface blockers, and verify fixes.
• Keep priorities, decisions, and next steps visible so everyone shares a clear view of progress.
• Maintain release-readiness tracking, including testing status, unresolved issues, and required reviews.
• Coordinate clinical review when needed. Clinical correctness and clinical approval remain clinician-owned.

The role calls for clear communication, careful documentation, practical judgment, and consistent follow-through. You should enjoy working closely with a small team and turning observations into concrete next steps.

Engagement & compensation

Fractional contractor role, initially approximately 10 hours per week. Compensation: $60–$85 USD per hour, depending on relevant experience.

What you bring

• Experience coordinating software delivery across engineering and product teams, with clear ownership and practical follow-through.
• Hands-on experience testing web or mobile products, documenting reproducible bugs, and verifying fixes.
• Comfort maintaining an issue tracker, prioritizing with team leads, and communicating blockers and tradeoffs concisely.
• Careful judgment around sensitive information and a willingness to escalate clinical questions to qualified clinicians.

Experience with digital health, patient-facing products, or conversational AI is a plus.

Success in this role means a clear testing cadence, actionable issues, visible priorities, and release decisions supported by documented checks and the appropriate engineering and clinical reviews.

Location & eligibility

Remote, United States only. NuVee is based in San Diego, California. Visa sponsorship is not available. This is a cash-compensated contractor role with no equity.

Annualized compensation at 10 hours per week for 52 weeks is $31,200–$44,200 USD. Actual compensation is based on hours worked at the agreed $60–$85 hourly rate; this annualized estimate does not guarantee a full year of work.
