Partner & Sponsorship Manager (Fractional)

Title: Partnership & Sponsorship Manager – B2B Growth & Revenue Strategy (Contract Role)

Description

We're looking for a fractional strategic partnerships and sponsorship professional to help grow and manage our network of corporate sponsors and revenue-sharing partners. This is a high-impact, client-facing role designed for a revenue-minded individual with a track record of sourcing, closing, and maintaining successful B2B relationships.

Independent Financial Partners (IFP) is a national wealth management platform serving independent financial advisors across the United States. We operate both a broker-dealer and RIA, and we’re focused on scalable, tech-driven service models. Our team works with strategic partners and vendors that help our advisors deliver exceptional outcomes to clients—and we’re looking to grow those partnerships intelligently.

Responsibilities

  • Manage existing sponsor relationships: onboarding, renewals, and deliverables
  • Develop a pipeline of new strategic partners and co-branded revenue-sharing opportunities
  • Pitch, negotiate, and close partnership deals
  • Work with marketing and leadership on activation strategies
  • Report on key KPIs and ROI (deal flow, retention, revenue impact)

Ideal Background

  • 3–7+ years in partnerships, sponsorship, or B2B sales
  • Proven track record closing five-figure+ deals
  • Strong negotiation, presentation, and communication skills
  • Comfortable operating independently and reporting to exec team
  • Experience with financial services, fintech, SaaS, or media partnerships is a plus

Project Scope

  • Initial contract for 6-12 months, with option to extend
  • ~10-20 hours/month
  • Mix of retainer + performance-based bonus preferred
  • Remote role, U.S. time zones preferred

Budget:
