Role Summary
MBX is seeking a freelance, part-time HR professional to support our North America team (~15 people). This is a remote, on-demand role responsible for overseeing core HR operations using Rippling, while serving as a trusted HR partner to both leadership and employees.
The role will work closely with the North America GM and the CEO, and is well suited for someone who thrives in fast-moving, high-growth environments.
What You’ll Do
- Set up, maintain, and continuously improve core HR policies and processes
- Support employees with career development and promotion discussions
- Provide compensation benchmarking and guidance
- Handle urgent, sensitive, or complex HR matters as they arise
- Serve as a trusted, accessible HR partner for a growing team
Who We’re Looking For
- Strong HR experience with sound judgment and discretion
- Comfortable working in startup or high-growth environments
- Background in beauty, consumer, or startup companies is a strong plus
- Flexible, nimble, and highly responsive
- Ideally based in California (preferred, not required)
- A warm, people-first mindset, with the ability to balance empathy and business needs
Additional Details
This is not a full-time role. It is a freelance / part-time, on-demand position, designed for someone who enjoys being hands-on, pragmatic, and impactful—without the overhead of a large organization.
