About Us
We're building an intelligence platform for enterprise operations, helping large companies make better operational decisions through AI.
We've raised a Seed, are working with several enterprise clients already, and preparing to do several million ARR.
About the Work
We have no one dedicated to HR today, and are growing quickly enough that it's starting to matter. We're looking for a Fractional Head of HR to own the full HR function and make sure we can hire, onboard, and manage people the right way.
Specifically, you'll:
- Own our end-to-end hiring process, including offer letters, contracts, and compliance across the USA and independent contractors abroad
- Own our onboarding process, making sure new hires feel set up and supported from day one
- Handle terminations in a both legally compliant and graceful way
- Identify gaps in our HR processes before they become problems, and fix them without being asked
- Manage all HR ops through Justworks (or help us migrate to a better solution). This includes:
- Payroll
- Benefits
- Employee records
- EOR for international hires
- Work most closely with our CEO
About You
You MUST have:
- Been a Head of, VP, or CHRO for other venture-backed startups, anywhere from Seed to Series C
- Deep experience with the full hiring and termination lifecycle
- HR compliance expertise for W2 and 1099s, in the USA, including the nuances across states, as well as international hires. You should have plenty of experience using an EOR.
- Comfortable working on an hourly basis (to start), tracking your hours, and moving with efficiency
- Highly hands-on, doing all the work yourself
- If you need to manage others to get the work done, we're not the right fit
- Based in the USA only
Nice-to-haves:
- Founding team experience, where you were the first or only HR hire
