About Us
At MAI (pronounced “my”), we're on a mission to democratize advanced advertising technology. We believe that cutting-edge marketing tools, once exclusive to large enterprises with massive budgets, should be accessible to everyone. Our platform uses AI agents to automate and optimize performance marketing, empowering small and mid-sized businesses to scale their ad spend profitably without the need for an agency or endless hours of manual campaign management.
Founded by ad platform veterans from Google and Instacart, we've successfully raised a $25 million Seed funding round led by Kleiner Perkins to accelerate our growth. This capital will be used to expand our teams, bringing our vision of intelligent, autonomous marketing to life. Our AI agents have already proven their value, helping clients drive 40% more sales and managing millions in monthly Google Ads spend. Our client waitlist is growing by the day

What You’ll Do
- Financial Operations: Own the "Order-to-Cash" cycle. You’ll manage customer invoicing, navigate customer payment portals, and handle collections.
- The Books: Lead the end-of-month cleanup in QuickBooks, ensuring our CPA has a "push-button" experience for tax and reporting.
- Global Payroll: Own the end-to-end payroll and workforce lifecycle, executing bi-weekly payroll for FTEs via Rippling, while building a scalable system for managing and paying our global network of contractors and vendors.
- Expenses: Administer our integrated expense and payroll stack by managing corporate spend in Ramp and ensuring all taxable fringe benefits and reimbursements are accurately captured and synced into Rippling payroll. You will own the 'source of truth' for employee total compensation, ensuring that every gym stipend, home-office reimbursement, and company-paid benefit is correctly taxed and reported.
- General BizOps: Partner with our Leaders to automate and tackle any other business operations initiatives across R&D, People, Sales & Marketing, etc.

What You’ll Bring
- 3–6 years of experience in Finance Ops, BizOps, or Accounting, ideally at a high-growth tech startup.
- QuickBooks Expert: You’ve managed the books for a startup before and understand the nuances of SaaS accounting.
- The "Operator" Mindset: You don't just identify problems; you build the automation or the process to fix them.
- Extreme Detail Orientation: You’re the person who catches the $0.50 discrepancy in a 100-line invoice.

Compensation
- Pay Range: $125 to $175 per hour (commensurate with experience).
- Expected Hours: 10 to 20 hours per month.
- Classification: Part-time Contractor / 1099.
