Steve LeVine Entertainment (SLE) is a full-service event management company that has operated in the entertainment and nightlife industry for more than 18 years. Recognized as one of the most respected and innovative event operations in the Valley, SLE specializes in event planning, entertainment, production, and strategic marketing.

SLE produces, coordinates, and promotes corporate, private, and public events. The company’s experienced team manages everything from development and promotion to on-site production and management. Over the years, SLE has successfully produced thousands of events ranging from weekly nightclub promotions and fashion shows to celebrity appearances and large-scale concerts.

We are seeking a Fractional Controller to oversee the financial operations of the business while providing strategic financial guidance to leadership. This role is ideal for a seasoned finance professional who enjoys working closely with entrepreneurs and creative teams in a dynamic industry.

Schedule

• Approximately 20–25 hours per week
• 4–5 hours per day
• 3–4 days per week in office in Scottsdale
• 1 day per week remote
• Opportunity to transition into a full-time leadership role as the company grows

Role Overview

The Fractional Controller will be responsible for managing the company’s accounting processes, maintaining financial accuracy, and providing financial insights that help leadership make informed decisions. This individual will work directly with the CEO to ensure strong financial management and operational efficiency.

Key Responsibilities

Financial Oversight

• Manage day-to-day accounting operations using QuickBooks
• Oversee accounts payable and accounts receivable
• Ensure accurate financial record keeping and transaction entry
• Perform monthly account reconciliations

Cash Flow & Financial Planning

• Monitor and forecast cash flow
• Prepare and present financial reports and projections
• Provide insights into company financial health and performance
• Support leadership with strategic financial planning

Payroll & Compliance

• Oversee and process payroll
• Administer tax filings including 1099s, 941s, sales tax, and other required filings
• Ensure compliance with financial reporting and tax obligations

Budgeting & Event Financial Planning

• Develop internal company budgets and financial forecasts
• Create cost estimates and budgets for events and client engagements
• Track project and event profitability

Qualifications

• 7+ years of accounting or finance experience, including controller-level responsibilities
• Strong proficiency with QuickBooks
• Experience with cash flow management, financial forecasting, and reporting
• Knowledge of payroll administration and tax filings
• Strong organizational and analytical skills
• Experience in events, hospitality, entertainment, or production industries is a plus
• Ability to work independently while collaborating closely with leadership
