Commercial Marketing Lead (Fractional)
2 to 3 days per week
Kindred is a space for events, coworking, and food and drink. Our growth in 2026 is driven by four core commercial pillars:
- Corporate events and offsites
- Weddings and private hire
- Cellar at Kindred, our kitchen and bar offer
- Kindred Catering
Each pillar plays a distinct role in our revenue and margin mix. This year is about strengthening performance across all four while improving alignment between them.
Marketing success in 2026 will be defined by:
- Growth in corporate events revenue and repeat bookings
- Stronger wedding enquiry-to-booking conversion
- Increased loyalty and frequency at Cellar at Kindred
- A disciplined, prove-before-scale approach to Kindred Catering
This role exists to ensure these priorities translate into measurable commercial results through stronger demand generation, tighter conversion and improved retention.

About the Role
This is a hands-on, commercially accountable marketing role focused on:
- Strengthening and accelerating our corporate and wedding pipeline
- Improving enquiry-to-booking conversion
- Supporting retention and repeat bookings
- Ensuring marketing activity delivers a clear commercial return
You will join an existing structure led by our Creative Director. Your remit is demand generation, conversion and lifecycle performance across our priority revenue pillars.

Core Responsibilities
Corporate Events: Our Primary Growth Engine
- Plan and optimise targeted acquisition campaigns
- Improve landing page clarity and performance
- Strengthen retargeting and nurture journeys
- Support relationship-building with corporate decision-makers
Success looks like a private hire pipeline secured two to three months ahead, with reliable conversion forecasting and increasing repeat bookings.
Weddings: Conversion and Confidence
- Improve enquiry quality and conversion
- Simplify messaging and reduce friction in the booking journey
- Strengthen nurture sequences and follow-up processes
An early priority will be tightening mid-funnel drop-off and embedding consistent follow-up discipline.
Kindred Catering: Prove Before Scale
- Generate qualified enquiries
- Develop and amplify case studies
- Support venue and planner partnerships
- Track performance clearly before scaling decisions
Scale follows proof.
Cellar at Kindred: Retention and Frequency
- Strengthen email journeys
- Support repeat visit behaviour
- Align marketing with improved guest experience and spend per head
Measurement and Accountability
You will define and report on:
- Cost per qualified enquiry
- Enquiry-to-booking conversion rate
- Repeat booking and retention rate
You will help leadership determine what scales, pauses or stops across the year.
How You Will Work
You will report to our Creative Director, who sets the direction for brand, culture and narrative across Kindred.
Your focus is demand generation, conversion and lifecycle performance. You will work closely with our Private Hire, Catering and Cellar teams, alongside our SEO and Lifecycle specialist and paid media partners.
This is a cross-functional role embedded in a small, focused team. We value clarity over complexity and impact over volume. You will have real ownership and the opportunity to see your work directly influence revenue and growth.
Location and Working Pattern
This role is primarily remote once onboarding is complete. During onboarding, we expect several in-person days onsite to ensure you fully understand the space, the team and the guest experience.
Following onboarding, the only fixed in-person requirement is one strategy and reporting day per month onsite at Kindred. You may also attend key planning sessions and selected flagship moments during the year where your presence adds value. We care far more about clarity, momentum and measurable impact than physical presenteeism.
We Are Looking For
- 8 to 10+ years’ experience in marketing
- Strong experience in hospitality, consumer or multi-use venue environments with multiple revenue streams
- A proven track record of improving pipeline and conversion
- Comfortable setting strategy and executing when needed
- Experience working in SMEs or founder-led environments
- Commercially pragmatic and performance-focused
- Motivated by disciplined execution, with the ability to diagnose what is not working and improve performance without adding unnecessary complexity
Time Commitment and Remuneration
2 to 3 days per week.

Competitive fractional day rate aligned to senior, hands-on commercial marketing leadership and commensurate with experience.
