About Us
We build custom voice AI agents for home and commercial service companies, helping businesses like plumbers and HVAC providers automate customer calls and appointment bookings.
We're fully bootstrapped, with one large PE firm as an anchor customer, and other smaller customers.
About the Work
The nature of our business is such that we're selling to PE firms and CTO/CIOs of large orgs, and so we want to increase both our credibility and technical foundation. We're looking for a Fractional CTO that can both guide our engineering team on best practices, and lead key technical conversations with large customers.
Specifically, you'll:
- Oversee a 4-person dev team based in Hong Kong (mostly an AI/ML skillset)
- Review their code and provide feedback as needed
- Advise on key technical decisions, particularly on Voice AI best practices
- Join late-stage sales calls to answer technical questions and build trust with client CTOs
- Meet regularly with the founder to align on technical priorities and progress
Tech stack:
- Python / FastAPI
- LiveKit
- Cartesia (for TTS)
- Deepgram (For STT)
- OpenAI models
- AWS
- Twilio
About You
You MUST have:
- Led engineering teams as a CTO or equivalent at other early-stage tech startups
- You should be super comfortable handling code reviews for a small team
- Significant voice AI expertise - you've built real-time, production voice agents using streaming STT/TTS and LLM pipelines on platforms like LiveKit
- Experience serving as the technical lead in the sales process, participating in client-facing calls
- Based in the USA only
Some nice-to-haves:
- Been CTO for a bootstrapped startup
- Exposure to the home services market, and integrating with services like ServiceTitan
How to Get in Touch
Hit that "Request Intro" button below. Include any relevant links so we can get to know you better.
Your brief intro note should clearly address:
- The startups you've led engineering teams for, and what your technical involvement was for those teams
- The voice AI systems you've built for production, and any interesting challenges you've solved
- Examples of sales processes you've been a part of
- Any experience with bootstrapped startups or the home services industry specifically
If we think there's a fit, we'll reach out to schedule an intro call. Looking forward!
