About The Job
The Fractional Chief People Officer (CPO) at EVG Specialty Network plays a crucial role in shaping and guiding the company's people strategy. This role is responsible for overseeing organizational design, leadership development, and HR alignment across the network, ensuring that the company’s human resources initiatives are effectively integrated and aligned with overall business goals.
EVG Specialty Network is a group of five leading veterinary specialty and emergency hospitals on the East Coast, with over 750 employees and $120 million in revenue. As we scale to meet increased demand for advanced veterinary care, we are seeking strategic leadership to guide our next phase of growth and operational alignment.
Responsibilities
- Provide strategic guidance on people operations, organizational design, and succession planning.
- Mentor the HR Coordinator and ensure integration across Talent Acquisition, Learning and Development, Payroll, and Benefits functions.
- Lead initiatives related to leadership development, engagement, and retention.
- Develop strategies for Human Resources, Learning and Development, Talent Acquisition, and Payroll and Benefits, collaborating with directors to create action plans.
- Support executive compensation strategy, organizational charts, and strategic workforce planning.
- Engage with board and executive teams to advise on people strategy.
Qualifications
- 10+ years in senior HR leadership, preferably within multi-site or healthcare organizations.
- Strong expertise in organizational transformation, Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion (DEI), and executive coaching.
- Proven experience advising executive teams and Boards on people strategy.
- Located on the East Coast in ET, preferably in the Mid-Atlantic region
Engagement:
- 10–15 hours per week in a strategic advisory role with the CEO and CFO.
- Support HR team development and network-level alignment.
US Pay Range:
$50,000 - $75,000 USD
