• 5 stores today, and eyeing expansion

About the Work

Problem: The owner has been doing the strategic finance work to date, but as they eye expansion, they want to get more sophisticated.

Specifically, you'll:

• Build cash flow projections that account for our seasonal, multi-location retail business
• Model out whether and when we can open our next store
• Advise on debt levels and prepare financials to present to our bank
• Set inventory target levels and ratios with our buyer
• Review our books and accounting for anything worth improving
  
  • We have an external bookkeeper and CPA
• Work directly with our owner as a thought partner on growth

About You

You MUST have:

• Been a CFO or equivalent for other small retail chains, think $1 - $25MM revenue
• Significant fashion apparel experience
• Built models that informed the opening of new locations
• Taken a business through a debt raise, from sizing the right amount to closing with the bank

Some nice-to-haves:

• Based in the Southeast USA
• Can flex into a COO-type role as well
