Fractional Business Development Director

Choice School Systems | 100% Remote | United States

Choice School Systems is looking for a Fractional Business Development Director (1099 Independent Contractor) to help lead the next stage of growth for our company.

This role is ideal for a proven business development professional with experience in the Education, EdTech, school services, or enrollment growth space who wants to bring their skills into a growing company with a clear mission: helping schools build better systems to generate, manage, and convert new applicants into consistently filled classrooms.

This is not a passive consulting role.

We are looking for someone who can step into the business development seat, lead the sales process, manage the team rhythm, and help move opportunities from interest to signed contracts.

What You’ll Be Responsible For

As our Fractional Business Development Director, you will:

  • Take Discovery Sales Calls with prospective school clients
  • Lead and manage the business development pipeline
  • Collaborate with the Marketing Manager on monthly growth strategies
  • Manage sales and administrative staff connected to business development
  • Run daily Business Development huddles
  • Attend weekly Leadership calls
  • Help turn marketing activity into real sales opportunities
  • Report directly to the Vice President

What We’re Looking For

The right person for this role has:

  • Experience in Education, EdTech, or school services
  • Strong discovery call and sales call experience
  • The ability to manage people, process, and follow-up
  • Comfort working inside a small but growing company
  • Strong work-from-home discipline and professional communication skills
  • The ability to think strategically while also helping execute daily priorities
  • Confidence speaking with school leaders and decision-makers
  • A growth-minded, ownership-driven approach to business development

Compensation

This role includes a monthly fractional leadership fee, performance-based growth incentives, and commissions on closed sales.

This structure is designed for someone who wants to be rewarded for helping build, lead, and grow the business development function.

Role

This is a 1099 independent contractor role, not a W-2 employee position.

Operating Hours

Monday through Thursday - 9:00 AM to 4:30 PM

Fridays - 9:00 AM to 1:00 PM

Work Location

This is a 100% remote role for a U.S.-based professional.
