About the Work
Problem: We're operating in a constantly evolving and increasingly litigious industry, with many state by state nuances, and we want to do a better job staying ahead of it all.
Specifically, you'll:
- Track legislative and regulatory changes across all states affecting senior care, Medicaid long-term care, veterans benefits, and consumer lending
- Build a state-by-state monitoring system so local teams can see what's happening in their market
- Build a legislative and advocacy playbook the company can scale across states
- Build relationships across the senior services industry, with state associations, provider groups, and regulators
- Engage outside lobbyists and policy advisors as needed
- Position the company as a constructive, distinct voice in the senior services industry
- Flag emerging risks early and advise leadership on how to respond
- Work most closely with the CEO and heads of different business units
About You
You MUST have:
- Led government affairs and industry relations initiatives within industries that are highly regulated and litigious. Examples include:
- healthcare
- serving vulnerable populations
- lending and financial services
- veterans services
- Significant experience building relationships with policymakers, regulators, and industry associations
- Comfortable getting into the details and nuances of state by state regulatory environments
- Based in the USA only
Nice to haves:
- Existing relationships within the senior care ecosystem
- Industry relations and PR experience
