About Omu
Omu is building an AI-native operating system for workforce value creation. Our platform combines AI copilots, agentic workflows, and modern data infrastructure to redesign workforce structures, compensation, and equity. We are early-stage, lean, and design-conscious — our demos and pilots must inspire confidence, clarity, and trust.
The Role
We are looking for a Fractional UI/UX Designer to work closely with our CTO and founding team. This is a part-time, flexible role (estimated 20–30 hours/month) that will scale with our needs. You’ll be responsible for ensuring our product experience and public-facing materials look crisp, modern, and distinctive.
You’ll design product flows, create high-fidelity mockups, and help establish a design system that engineers can build upon. In parallel, you’ll also own the design of our marketing website/landing page to ensure it communicates our vision with clarity and creativity.
Responsibilities
- Collaborate with the founding team to translate complex AI-driven workflows into intuitive, elegant user experiences.
- Create polished product designs that are crisp, modern, and creative.
- Help establish our design system (typography, color, components) and maintain consistency across the product.
- Provide design polish for investor/customer-facing demos and prototypes.
- Design and iterate on our landing website/marketing site to ensure brand consistency and impact.
- Collaborate closely with the founding team, with flexibility to scale contributions as the company grows.
What We’re Looking For
- 5+ years of experience in UI/UX design for SaaS or digital platforms.
- Portfolio that demonstrates clean, modern design with distinctive character — not just cookie-cutter SaaS templates.
- Experience designing both product UX and public-facing websites.
- Familiarity with designing for AI-driven workflows a plus, but not required.
- Proficiency in Figma (or equivalent) and ability to deliver ready-to-build design assets.
- Strong communication skills; able to work effectively in a fractional, async role.
Commitment
- Flexible, ~20–30 hours/month initially, with the potential to expand.
- Engagement through hourly contracting or design agency-style retainer.
