About Us
Headcount is the biggest spend line item at companies, but most teams still plan it in stale spreadsheets, stitching together CSVs from disconnected systems. This results in overspend, delayed hires, and a lot of confusion across teams. We fix this: flexible hiring & capacity plans; syncing with HRIS + ATS for auto-reconciliation; and a sandbox to explore scenarios, tradeoffs, and true financial impact.
We help Finance, HR, and Recruiting at 250-5,000 person companies finally get & stay on the same page with managers real-time, to drive efficient growth.
About the Work
Because of the complexity and variability of the shape of customer data we want to support, we need to build a) highly configurable and modular frontend, with b) intuitive, simplified UX patterns that work like an iceberg (showing only what the user probably needs… giving them the option to drill down several layers when needed).
Specifically, you'll:
- Own the frontend codebase
- Architect front end patterns that are extremely flexible and reusable
- Build out a robust component library to support complex dashboards and enterprise collaboration workflows — but built with simplicity and delight (a hard combination)
- Work closely with two other engineers, one designer, and CEO
Tech stack:
- React (Typescript)
- Node (Typescript)
- Postgres
- AWS
- Render
You'll join us for contract-based work to start at either full-time or half-time (figure a few months), and if there is mutual interest, you can convert into a full-time hire if you'd like (but not required).
About You
You MUST have:
- Significant and noteworthy React expertise. Likely 5+ years of predominantly frontend-focused work
- You can have backend experience too, but frontend should be a specialty
- You can point to complex component-based frontends that you've architected
- Early-stage startup experience
- You have availability for at least 20 hrs / week, if not 40 hrs
- Based in the USA or Canada only
Nice-to-haves:
- Some prior product design experience
- Former technical cofounder
How to Get in Touch
Hit that "Request Intro" button below. Include any relevant links so we can get to know you better.
Your brief intro note should clearly address:
- A summary of the product you've built you're proudest of
- Your experience building complex React-based component libraries and modular systems
- Any data or dashboard-type products you've built
- Your current time availability
If we think there's a fit, we'll reach out to schedule an intro call. Looking forward!
