About the Work
We're looking for a Fractional Staff Accountant, who can also help us create a more strategic finance function through better FP&A practices.
Specifically, you'll:
- Perform daily soft bank reconciliations and make general ledger entries
- Handle recurring journal entries and the associated work papers and data, including accrued revenue, payroll entries, inter-company transactions, and prepaid expenses
- Track and invoice all pass-through expenses
- Be the in-house expert on the accounting team's technology stack: Quickbooks, Expensify, and Bill.com
- Prepare reports and analysis at the direction of the company’s c-suite, including project-level estimates vs. actuals, monthly budget vs. actuals, overhead expense analysis and employee KPI reports
- Work most closely with our controller, CFO, and the rest of the bookkeeping team
You'll work with us for about 25 - 30 hrs / week, in a hybrid fashion out o our Philadelphia area office and remote. This position could convert into a full-time hire down the road.
About You
You should meet all of the following criteria:
- You're based in the greater Philadelphia area
- Have an accounting degree
- 7 - 10 years accounting experience
- Experience doing FP&A in a prior role
- i.e. You've created reporting and dashboards that drove company performance
- Significant knowledge of GAAP
- Experience in job costing, cost control measures, and job-level cost and revenue tracking
- Experienced with our accounting stack:
- Quickbooks
- Expensify
- Bill.com
