Part Time Senior Instructional Designer
Skillsoft is seeking an experienced Part-Time Senior Instructional Designer to join our Content Engineering team! In this role, you will have the opportunity to bring the content script to life by visualization, instructional graphics for the storyboards/scripts. The Senior Instructional Designer will be accountable for delivering digital learning solutions of across product types based on Skillsoft standards and guidelines. Create a visual storyboard based on the scripts.
Responsibilities:
- Recommend and apply appropriate instructional design approaches to develop the learning solution and the deliverables across different delivery modalities.
- Support the graphics and media team in visualization and implementation of the scripts/storyboard.
- Engage and collaborate with stakeholders throughout the development process, ensuring a positive impact with the stakeholders.
- Collaborate and support the media team in design process.
- Create supporting material/media for courses/videos such as course/video overviews, and course introductions.
- Develop a basic understanding about the subject matter through materials provided and individual research.
- Conduct design and deliverables’ walkthroughs with stakeholders.
- Review deliverables for completeness, compliance with standards, and consistency with the detailed design prior to sending to stakeholders for review.
- Review and revise content based on feedback from reviewers or stakeholders.
- Ensure compliance with company policies and procedures.
- May be required to work on once-off projects/initiatives or ongoing project work as required or other duties, responsibilities, and special projects as assigned from time to time.
Skills & Qualifications Required:
- 7+ years of professional experience in Instructional Design for US content/ audience is necessary with a Bachelor’s degree
- Experience in proofreading and editorial tasks
- Strong Problem-solving and analytical skills
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English
- Experience and ability to influence and polished presentation skills
- Demonstrate excellent attention to detail
- Ability to work Part Time
