Job Title: Fractional HR Consultant

Location: Remote / Flexible (with occasional on-site visits as needed)

Employment Type: Contract / Fractional

Reports To: Executive Leadership

Position Summary:

Imprimis Group | IGXperts is seeking a knowledgeable and detail-oriented Fractional HR Consultant to provide part-time, strategic, and tactical human resources support. This role focuses on developing and maintaining essential HR infrastructure, including job descriptions, employee handbooks, and corporate policies and procedures. The ideal candidate will also lead structured exit interviews and provide actionable insights to improve retention, culture, and compliance.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Job Descriptions & Organizational Structure

  • Conduct job analysis and interviews to accurately define roles, responsibilities, and reporting structures.
  • Create and maintain clear, compliant, and current job descriptions aligned with business needs and industry standards.
  • Ensure all job descriptions reflect organizational competencies, expectations, and FLSA classifications.

2. Exit Interviews & Employee Retention Insights

  • Design and conduct professional exit interviews to gather meaningful feedback from departing employees.
  • Analyze trends and data to identify areas for improvement in engagement, retention, and culture.
  • Provide executive summaries and recommendations to leadership for proactive workforce planning.

3. Corporate Policies & Procedures

  • Draft, review, and update company policies and procedures to ensure consistency, clarity, and compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws.
  • Develop policy frameworks that support equitable and consistent decision-making across the organization.
  • Advise leadership on best practices in policy communication, implementation, and enforcement.

4. Employee Handbook Development & Compliance

  • Create and maintain a comprehensive, legally compliant employee handbook tailored to the company’s size, culture, and operational needs.
  • Ensure handbook policies are current and reflect regulatory updates, including wage and hour, leave, discrimination, and workplace safety laws.
  • Lead handbook rollout and provide training or briefings to management and staff as needed.

5. Advisory & Support Functions

  • Partner with leadership to identify HR process gaps and implement scalable solutions.
  • Provide fractional HR guidance on employee relations, performance management, and workforce transitions.
  • Maintain confidentiality and uphold the organization’s values in all HR matters.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field (Master’s degree or HR certification preferred: SHRM-CP/SCP, PHR/SPHR).
  • 7+ years of progressive HR experience; prior consulting or fractional HR work strongly preferred.
  • Strong knowledge of federal and state employment laws and HR best practices.
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills with attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Proven ability to create structured HR documentation and communicate complex policies clearly.
  • Comfortable working independently and managing multiple client relationships simultaneously.

Work Environment & Schedule:

  • Fractional/contract-based engagement (typically 10–20 hours per week, flexible scheduling).
  • Remote position with potential for periodic on-site client visits.
  • Competitive hourly rate or retainer based on experience and project scope.
