The Work Needed
Problem: Our CTO has effectively been playing Head of Product. The product surface area and complexity are growing, and we want to formalize a Product function.
Specifically, you'll:
- Coach and up-level design and engineering team members into our first PMs
- Hold the team accountable to PM fundamentals, like customer interviews and quick feedback loops
- Update our Product process, given how fast our engineering now ships code with AI tools
- Act as a bridge between engineering and go-to-market, and in general help the teams work better together
- Help us make more data-led product decisions
- Work closely with our CTO, VP Sales, VP Customer Success, and other leaders
About You
You MUST have:
- Been a Head of, VP, or CPO-level Product Leader for other Seed thru Series B stage tech startups
- Significant B2B SaaS experience specifically building products for large enterprises
- Experience managing and coaching junior PMs, even better if folks from non-PM roles into PM roles
- A clear point of view on how AI is changing the product development process
- Can point to recent, meaningful AI features you've built into products
Nice-to-haves:
- Highly regulated industry experience like fintech, insurtech, healthtech, and govcon
- Marketplace dynamic experience
- Significant retention expertise, in an enterprise context
