Role Description
This is a part time remote role for a Fractional VP - General Counsel. The Fractional VP - General Counsel will be responsible for providing legal advice and guidance on various corporate legal matters, managing legal risks, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements, and overseeing contractual agreements. This role also includes drafting and reviewing legal documents, coordinating with external legal counsel, and supporting the executive team with strategic planning and decision-making. This is a part-time role with a ramp to full time general counsel, joining our existing GC.
Qualifications
- Experience in providing legal advice and managing legal risks
- Skills in ensuring regulatory compliance and overseeing contractual agreements
- Proficiency in drafting and reviewing legal documents
- Ability to coordinate with external legal counsel and support executive teams
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
- Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school
- Licensed to practice law in the relevant jurisdiction
- Experience in corporate or business law is a plus
- Experience in the finance industry is a plus
