Position Summary:
We are seeking an experienced and driven Fractional Clinical Development Director (MD required) to join our team on a contract basis. This fully remote role is based within a Contract Research Organization (CRO) environment, supporting our sponsor partners in the strategic and operational execution of clinical trials in Neuroscience, with a particular emphasis on depression and mood disorders.
The ideal candidate will bring deep clinical expertise, strong leadership, and a collaborative mindset to help guide clinical development programs from early-phase planning through late-stage execution.
Key Responsibilities
- Serve as the clinical lead on neuroscience-focused programs, acting as the primary medical point of contact for sponsor clients.
- Provide medical and scientific oversight for clinical trials in depression, ensuring alignment with regulatory standards and sponsor expectations.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams including Clinical Operations, Regulatory Affairs, Biostatistics, and Medical Writing to ensure high-quality trial execution.
- Contribute to the development of clinical protocols, investigator brochures, and regulatory documents.
- Participate in sponsor meetings, advisory boards, and interactions with key opinion leaders (KOLs).
- Monitor safety data and support medical monitoring activities throughout the trial lifecycle.
- Stay abreast of scientific developments and competitive landscape in neuroscience and depression.
Qualifications
- MD (Doctor of Medicine) required; specialization in Psychiatry, Neurology, or related field is highly preferred.
- Minimum of 8 years of clinical development experience, including at least 3 years in a CRO setting.
- Demonstrated experience in neuroscience clinical trials, with a strong preference for depression or mood disorder programs.
- Familiarity with global regulatory requirements (FDA, EMA) and ICH-GCP guidelines.
- Strong communication and client-facing skills; ability to build trust with sponsor teams.
- Comfortable working independently in a remote, fast-paced, matrixed environment.
