About the Role

Oversees scientific information and initiatives – usually applied science. Responsible for developing research capabilities to decide the validity and utility of research products and scientific product offerings. Includes research and the development of new technologies.

Responsibilities

• Leadership: Leading and managing scientific research teams across various disciplines, ensuring alignment with company goals and strategic initiatives.
• Scientific Expertise: Deep understanding of current scientific advancements in their field, evaluating new technologies and research methodologies.
• Research Strategy: Developing and executing comprehensive research plans, including budget allocation and project timelines.
• External Collaboration: Building relationships with academic institutions, industry partners, and regulatory agencies
• MUST be very Comfortable in front of camera and media interviews
• Comfortable in working with marketing department in developing heavy social media presence

Qualifications

• A bachelor's degree in a scientific field like biology or chemistry or related engineering fields
• A master's degree/PhD in above noted fields preferred
• Experience in disinfectants and decontaminants highly desirable
• The ability to be inclusive in decision-making
• An awareness of different leadership styles
• A history of scientific research and innovation, including publications in peer-reviewed journals
• Experience managing multidisciplinary teams, and developing and motivating high-performing teams
• Experience in strategic planning, decision analysis, and developing customized plans
• Experience presenting scientific and commercial information to a variety of audiences
• Knowledge of regulatory and ethical standards in research
• Experience in securing research funding
• Heavy media presence and comfortable with interviews
