Description: We're an established construction lender financing projects nationwide, primarily ground-up multifamily.

The Work Needed

Problem: We handle various types of investors, both in a commingled fund, as well as co-investment and separately Managed accounts. We're looking for a Fractional CFO that can help manage the various structures.

Specifically, you'll:

• Lead cash flow forecasting and capital planning to support portfolio management decisions, including hold-versus-sell analysis and disposition timing across the existing fund
• Own scenario modeling and FP&A to inform the strategy for our new deal-by-deal funding business
• Develop and strengthen our banking relationships to support back leverage on new originations
• Manage the annual audit
• Engage with current and prospective investors as needed
• Work most closely with our CEO, Chief of Staff, and Controller
• Work out of our office based in Los Angeles 2 - 3 days a week

About You

You MUST have:

• Served as CFO or equivalent for other small to mid-size businesses
• Deep knowledge of business lending, or any kind of lending where capital is released through a draw process
• Comfort with deal-by-deal or co-invest structures, not just pooled funds
• Experience managing fund or portfolio lifecycle transitions, including asset disposition strategy and timing
• Built and managed banking relationships to secure leverage
• A base in the Los Angeles area and willingness to work from our office regularly
