We're an enrichment program for children, focused on storytelling and writing. Children can enroll in our 16-week, virtual after-school courses. Every kid that graduates is a published author!

We've served 4,000 kids so far, with a profitable business approaching $1MM annual revenue.

About the Work

Our leadership team has an exceptional vision and program delivery skills, but we're lacking financial rigor and strategy. We're looking for a Fractional CFO to hold us accountable, keeping us focused on our bottom line.

Specifically, you'll:

• Handle our reporting, bookkeeping and accounting
• Keep us focused on our EBITDA and profitability
• Challenge the rest of the leadership team, help us make numbers-driven business decisions
• Expect one meeting a week, and one hour of heads-down time a week
• Be a close thought-partner to the CEO

About You

You should meet all of the following criteria:

• You've held strategic finance roles before, preferably a CFO or Head of Finance
• Prior industry expertise in online / virtual courses,  online programming, or other business models similar to ours
• You're well versed in both FP&A and accounting best practices

Nice-to-haves:

• Experience in the education space
• A mission to help our kids become better writers resonates with you
