About Us

We are a distributor of structural steel products, typically used in commercial construction projects across the US.

We have about 50 employees, offices in 7 states, and are doing over $100MM annual revenue.

About the Work

We have nobody focused on People Operations today, and so much of this work is either not being done or falling on our executive team. We're looking for a Fractional People Ops Lead to own this area for us, and help us level-up as an organization.

Specifically, you'll:

  • Own our employee benefits program
    • Work with our broker
    • Coordinate open enrollment and annual benefits review
    • Handle common employee questions
  • Handle onboarding and offboarding employees
  • Make sure we're compliant with all federal and state labor laws, including ACA, COBRA, FMLA, and ERISA
  • Manage our employee data and records in Paylocity
  • Track and administer employee leave, including FMLA and other protected leave
  • Act as a thought partner to our COO, CEO, and CFO on all things People Ops

About You

You MUST have:

  • 8+ years in HR & People Ops roles, with a focus on SMBs and orgs around 50 employees
  • Comfortable managing People Ops for both salaried AND hourly employees
  • Paylocity experience
  • You know benefits and compliance like the back of your hand
  • Based anywhere in the USA
