About The Job
Airos is seeking a Fractional HR Consultant with a HR generalist background to support our growing organization and affiliates in delivering strategic and operational HR guidance. This role is ideal for a proactive HR professional with a background in corporate HR or HR consulting within the pharmaceutical, medical device, or biotech industries. The ideal candidate will bring deep knowledge of HR best practices, employment law, talent strategy, and organizational design, and will thrive in an evolving business environment. The position is hybrid, with a desire to have a periodic onsite presence in Audubon, PA with flexible working hours of approx. 10-15 hours per week.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities
- Advise leadership on HR strategy, policies, and procedures to support business objectives.
- Provide guidance on organizational design, workforce planning, and change management.
- Collaborate with leaders to align HR initiatives with company goals.
- Facilitate the hiring and onboarding of 1099 contractors and new hires.
- Oversee payroll processes and collaborate with clients to administer competitive benefits packages, ensuring employee satisfaction and compliance with all required filings and reporting.
- Oversee and administer Open Enrollment, ensuring timely completion and submission of enrollments to carriers and payroll.
- Oversee and administer 401(k) plan for company and affiliates to ensure timely and accurate funding, communication of withholding changes to payroll, and compliance with year-end reporting.
- Serve as a trusted advisor on employee relations, conflict resolution, and performance management.
- Administer performance management process and communicate compensation changes.
- Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local labor laws.
- Support in the development and enforcement of HR policies and procedures.
- Design appropriate HR programs, including talent acquisition strategies, onboarding, and employee development programs.
- Provide coaching and support to managers on performance reviews, feedback, and employee engagement.
- Support day-to-day HR and payroll processes such as documentation, reporting, and recordkeeping.
- Partner with both internal/external teams to improve systems, workflows, and HR operational efficiency.
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite of software (Word, Excel, etc.)
- Ability to work on your own initiative as well as part of a team
- Strong knowledge of US employment laws and HR compliance.
- Proven ability to work independently in a remote, part-time capacity.
- Excellent communication, coaching, and interpersonal skills.
Physical Demands
- Daily activities are conducted in a typical office environment.
Minimum Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in human resources, Business, or related field
- Minimum 7+ years of experience in Human Resources, preferably within corporate HR or HR consulting roles.
- Industry experience in pharmaceutical, biotechnology, or life sciences strongly preferred.
- Experience supporting small to mid-sized growing companies or start-ups.
- Experience supporting both strategic HR initiatives and day-to-day operations.
