About the Work
We've gone through a major strategy shift towards a more content-focused consumer experience. Now, we need to modernize our provider product, from ads and sponsored content to world-class profiles and all aspects of reputation management.
We are looking for a Fractional Head of Product who will lead a rigorous, audit-first engagement, diagnosing our provider marketplace, uncovering the root causes of inconsistent performance, and defining a clear, focused product direction. While the initial scope centers on analysis and prioritization rather than owning delivery, we need someone with the capability and experience to transition into execution should the scope expand.
Specifically, you'll:
- Dive deep to understand all major segments of provider and practice customers and how we can best serve them
- Audit our ads platform to identify the gaps and opportunities: the inventory, pricing, lead distribution, and attribution
- Help us understand what a best-in-class provider marketplace looks like from a product and performance perspective
- Define our provider-related product roadmap
- Analyze our entire customer user journey and identify opportunities to improve stickiness and move consumers down the funnel
- Bring a data-driven approach to evaluating our marketplace health, supply / demand, pricing, and reporting
- Work closely across the leadership team, including the Head of Sales, Head of Content, and Head of Engineering
About You
You MUST have:
- Played Head of Product, VP, or CPO-level roles for other 2-sided marketplace businesses
- Exposure to ad, lead-gen, and reputation management products specifically, where a business is buying an upgraded site presence, ads, listings, sponsorships, etc. to generate leads for themselves
- You should be very comfortable working on pricing models, ad delivery, attribution
- Examples include businesses like Yelp, Zocdoc, UberEats, Amazon, and many more
- Experience with systems like:
- Internal/external ad delivery engines (Google Ads, Meta Ads, Yelp Ads, Zocdoc Ads)
- Pacing and budget optimization systems
- Lead-routing and matching systems (Zenoti, ServiceTitan, Thumbtack-style)
- BI/Analytics: Looker, dbt, Snowflake, Amplitude, Mixpanel
- attribution frameworks (in-platform attribution, MTA, MMM)
- Strong analytical skills, including SQL literacy, experimentation frameworks (A/B testing, incrementality), and marketplace diagnostic tooling
- Based in the USA or Canada only
Nice-to-haves:
- Exposure to healthtech or content-driven businesses
- Based in NYC
