About Us
myAgro is a non-profit agritech social enterprise based in West Africa. We have developed a mobile savings model that allows farmers to invest their own funds in high-quality seed, fertilizer, and agricultural training to increase their harvest and income by 50 -100%. Our North Star is to support 1 million farmers in 2026 - providing them the tools they need to prosper. The Fractional Chief People Officer (CPO) at myAgro will support and collaborate with the Acting Chief People Officer. The fractional CPO’s mandate is to provide strategic support and targeted coaching to the Acting CPO’s work and share new HR frameworks and best practices that would enhance the HR department’s ability to help myAgro scale up, reach more farmers, and support its team members. This is a 6-month opportunity (negotiable).
Responsibilities
- Strategy Planning and Road mapping: Collaborate with the Acting CPO to develop and implement HR strategies aligned with myAgro's goals. Contribute to the creation of detailed roadmaps to achieve strategic HR goals. Ensure alignment of HR plans with broader organizational goals.
- Strategic HR Leadership: Provide recommendations based on industry best practices and experience from top-tier organizations.
- Support and Coach Acting CPO: Be a resource and coach for the Acting CPO; contribute to the development of his skills and strategic approach to the CPO role.
- Project Leadership: Lead and/or monitor project progress and report on outcomes to the Acting CPO and executive team.
- Communication: Work with the Acting CPO and HR team to improve how they communicate about their work, keep stakeholders informed on work progress, and engage the myAgro team.
- HR Compliance and Risk Management: Oversee HR compliance and manage HR and people risks for the department.
- Introduce new tools and technologies: Oversee the implementation or improved usage of systems, ensuring smooth integration with existing processes.
Requirements
- Minimum of 10 years of HR leadership experience as a CPO or similar level
- BA in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field
- HR Leadership Training
- Familiarity with HRIS, applicant tracking systems, and performance management tools
