About Us
We manufacture thermal batteries that capture solar and wind energy, and convert it into steady and reliable energy for industrial uses. And we're making it cheaper than burning fossil fuels.
Our mission is to end climate change.
Recently raised a $150MM Series B, including investors like Bill Gates and Chris Sacca.
About the Work
When a new client wants our energy capabilities, it requires a massive on-site infrastructure installation project.
We're looking for an expert Project Development Attorney on a fractional basis (20 hrs / week) to support all legal efforts related to our renewable energy projects, including wind and solar.
Specifically, you'll:
- Oversee, draft, and negotiate all engineering, equipment procurement, and construction agreements (EPC agreements), as well as real estate leases and other agreements
- Provide day-to-day counseling on project compliance, tax credits (e.g. 45X and 48C under Inflation Reduction Act), and Made in America requirements
- Review power purchase agreements and site control documents for distributed energy projects
- Work most closely with our Fractional General Counsel, along with plenty of internal stakeholders
About You
You should meet all the following criteria:
- 7+ years of experience in energy transactions and project development
- Without significant project development experience for energy / oil & gas projects, it won't be a fit
- Some experience with renewable energy specifically (e.g. wind, solar)
- Have done project finance work at large, national law firms
- Licensed in the USA
How To Get In Touch
Hit that "Request Intro" button below
- Write a brief intro note that clearly addresses the needs we've outlined above, including:
- Summary of your project development work within the energy sector
- Any renewable energy experience
If we think there's a fit, we'll reach out to schedule an intro call. Looking forward!
